NIEM & DR. HOSHI’S TRYST WITH CELEBS

Doing events and involving celebrities was always a passion for our founder dean and director, Dr. Hoshi Bhiwandiwalla. In fact some of the celebrities have even acknowledged that he has given them the initial push like the first stage, first dance, first pageant or the first event. He has taught a lot of celebrities who always respected him and still in spite of their busy schedule, they bond with him.
Passionate about events, he started organizing events at the early age of 16 as the college general secretary, later as the chairman of NM Alumni and still later as professor in charge of cultural activities, side by side he worked as an ordinary volunteer on most of mega events in that period, working under many personalities. In 1988, he formed Ekta Youth Trust – a student based event body, where more than 15 events were done every year like youth festivals, pageants, personality contest, Christmas party, management training programs and many others but the highlight was that Ekta did mega navratri’s with big banner, including five years with dandiya queen Falguni Pathak. Ekta involved interaction of the youth with lot of celebrities.
The huge work at Ekta gave Hoshi sir the idea of event education and after detailed research Indianising the event course, gave birth to asia’s first event course by NIEM.
